An OC, based on a background pony called "William Wright" (from S02E18).

I thought of making a tumblr "ask" type of blog. I'd use the Professor ponysona to explain stuff about vectoring, inkscape, SVG animation and other pony business, as well as my theories on pony magic and such.

What do you think?

I tried to optimize the original file to allow easy animation, just in case I'll have the time to do some more experiments with that.

I agree with Zu, the idea is really good, and definitely puts me in mind of the professors that were reviewing Twilight in the cutie mark chronicles. the outline seems a bit dark in comparison, but you did a god job on the tail, cute mark and the angle that it needs to be for the positioning of the pony himself. the collar looks nice and is most appropriate for his profession, and the glasses certainly makes him look more like a professor. I am wondering why the choice to have him be a unicorn? I think it is a good idea over all, and the design and how it was put together was done very well. ^_^ I look forward to seeing more!

Gotta be honest, I prefer the original 'Earth Pony' version of this fella rather than your Unicorn type, but hell it's still a good job.

though i don't have Inkscape, I'll respond the same thing than Zu, including the remark. I see a lot of pony Tumblrs and not even one that shares some knowledge about everything and nothing.

The idea itself is nice, and the design of the professor is pretty good too. One remark I have is that in my opinion, the outlines on his body (coat) are a bit too dark when compared to the fill colour.
